
I was picking up around the house when I soon found myself in the kitchen. As I began to clear the counters, the kid jumped out from behind the cabinet to thwart me from my mission.
"No mom! Don't put that away! That's my nuclear powered generator!"
me: "Okay then. What are you going to do with it?"
She answered me in that what-do-you-think-I'm-gonna-do-with-it? tone. "It's for my Barbie House. Duh!"
(Oh! of course! Why didn't I know that? I mean, the topic of nuclear power is a common part of the Montessori curriculum, right?)
